Tapani Varis plays bass in Maria Kalaniemi's band, Aldargaz. Here he displays the versatility of one of the world's most basic and common musical instruments, the jews harp.
Both solo and with acoustic and electronic accompaniment, the jews harp is featured playing traditional tunes from Finland and Norway as well as Tapani's original compositions. This is a one-of-a-kind release that helps bring to light the common threads that unite all European and ancient musics.
